No Cord, No Problem

Who doesn't like looking down and seeing their phone fully charged? Absolutely no one! Even more so, who wouldn't like ridding themselves of all the charger cords for all their devices? Recently scientists have been researching and testing the idea of wireless energy.

A company by the name of WiTricity is working on making wireless energy for multiple uses. The technology is the transferring of electric energy or power over a distance without any wires. If they could achieve this feat our entire way of charging and powering up devices totally changes.

Key aspects of the technology

  • Electricity - The flow of electrons (current) through a conductor (like a wire), or charges through the atmosphere (like lightning).  A convenient way for energy to get from one place to another!
  •  Magnetism - A fundamental force of nature, which causes certain types of materials to attract or repel each other. Permanent magnets, like the ones on your refrigerator and the earth’s magnetic field, are examples of objects having constant magnetic fields.
  •  Electromagnetism:  A term for the interdependence of time-varying electric and magnetic fields. For example, it turns out that an oscillating magnetic field produces an electric field and an oscillating electric field produces a magnetic field.
  • Magnetic Induction: A loop or coil of conductive material like copper, carrying an alternating current (AC), is a very efficient structure for generating or capturing a magnetic field.

Achieving this technology

If WiTricity Corp. could bring this new technology to fruition, power cords would become a distance memory. Start saving your money now to be part of the generation to bring about wireless energy. This new technology could completely revolutionize the world.

The Next Generation: iphone 6

Cell phones, specifically smart phones, is becoming the norm for almost everyone. Having the fastest and most sleek phone is desire for so many people. A company that has been at the top of the cell phone marked for years has been Apple. That's why the iphone 6 is one of the most anticipated phones soon to come out.

Apple is putting some awesome features into their new creation. Here is the spects for the iphone 6:

  • Bigger screen
  • Two different models
  • IOS 8 operating system
  • Upgraded maps
  • New specialized apps

What is crazy is Apple didn't stop there. One of the features that is rumored to happen is having the screen made out of sapphire glass; the type of glass that it uses for the camera lenses and fingerprint sensor in the iPhone 5s. It also incorporates a solar cell embedded into the screen to serve as a power source.

Apple's future phone is looking to take the cell phone market to the next level. Start saving your money and be one of the first to operate the next best thing in technology.

The Future of Mobile Technology is Clear

Prototype Switchable Glass phone
One of the most innovative new technologies that is currently in the development stages is the transparent phone. This new technology could revolutionize the display market.

The engineers at Polytron technologies are currently developing a new cell phone called Switchable Glass. These phones have some awesome features!

Here are some of the advantages for OLED:
  • Super thin (200 times smaller than the human hair)
  • Shatter and scratch prof
  • 25 % lighter and cheaper than the iphone 5
  • Both sides of the screen are touch screen.
Components of the OLED screens
As you can see, transparent technology definitely has some great things going for it. But, how does it stack up against its greatest competition: LCD screens?

Disadvantages for the OLED screens:
  • Screens do not last as long as a LCD
  • Manufacturing is currently expensive
  • Water can easily damage OLED screens
With all of its features, Polytron is hoping that OLED tech will eventually make LCD screens obsolete. OLED is still in it's infancy, but the future of transparent screens is within reach.
